HHS Scholarship to ZPHS Student
On the 63rd year of India's Independence HHS gave away a scholarship of Rs. 5000 to Ms. G. Geeta Rani, the 10th class topper from Zilla Parishad High School, Shamshiguda in Hyderabad. Grundfos Sponsors 69 at HHSCH
Grundfos Pumps (I) Pvt. Ltd. sponsored the school education fees of 69 children for Rs. 3,55,000 at HHSCH. HHS is greatly indebted to Grundfos for believing in us and supporting us. The donation would be made in 3 installments during this academic year.
Children shifted to New School
All the children from Helping Hand Sphoorti Children's Home have been shifted to Sri Sai Model School in line with our philosophy of providing better education to all the children of our home. The new school is located on a 3 acre campus and is promoted by Mr. Shankar Reddy.
New Computer Lab
In a step in the right direction, HHS today with the support of Cognizant Outreach team- the CSR wing of Cognizant Technology Solutions dedicated a computer lab to the children of the Helping Hand Sphoorti Children's Home. The inaugral function was presided by Shri Balaji Pochareddy- Sr. Manager CTS
Festival of Kites
It was a sunny bright Sunday morning at Sphoorti with 20 children on campus. The other children had still not returned from Sankranthi holidays. The HHS team decided to surprise these tiny tots and went to the home with a bunch of colorful kites, manja and charkas.
Final dose of Hepatitis-B at HHSCH
The final leg of the Hepatitis-B vaccination drive was completed on December 13th, 2009. The paramedics from Asian Institute of Gastroenterology who arrived at 10:00 am at HHSCH were greeted by the core team members of Helping Hand Society.
Edible Garden at HHSCH
This event was organized on children's day at HHSCH. The event began with talking to children about Children’s Day, why is it celebrated and the importance. The volunteers from CGI bought goodies which were distributed by Naga who was celebrating his birthday.

Dance performance at GRIET
The college Principal Mr. J. N. Murthy was extremely supportive all throughout and even while arranging dinner for the children. The highlight was the BME Department of the college announcing that they would sponsor the fees for 6 months for the children.
Grundfos supports HHS
Grundfos Pumps India Pvt Ltd donated INR 2,00,000 to Helping Hand Society on November 1st, 2008 for developeing infrastructure facilities at the Helping Hand Sphoorti Children's Home. The donation was used to purchase infrastructure equipment which include 8 sets of steel study

HHS is Cause Partner for Indore Marathon 2010
We are proud to announce that Helping Hand Society has been selected as one of the Cause partners or the Indore Marathon 2010 being organized by Indian Institute of management, Indore. As part of this association, HHS in association with Pragati- Social Sensitivity Cell of IIM Indore will setup kiosks at the Marathon venue to educate participants on the importance of educating the Indian child. HHS will also be getting screen space on the official Indore Marathon website which would not only improve the visibility of the society but also help increase the awareness of our programs like Sponsor a Child and Heal Andhra Pradesh.

Independence Day with Mahindra Satyam
15 August 2010, proved to be a memorable day for the associates of Qantas team of Mahindra Satyam. 9 volunteers including Mr. Srinivas Velpuru(Program Manager – Qantas) visited HHSCH and spent half a day there. Children sang songs, danced and shared jokes with the Mahindra Satyam team.
Importance of Independence Day was explained to the children and then goodies were distributed. Painting competition was conducted for the children and couple of volunteers participated too. To encourage participation, participants were given 2 cricket bats, 12 tennis balls and imitation jewellery. Prize Winners were given colorful looking fancy pencils.
To promote practicing of personal hygiene Toothpaste, Toothbrush, Soaps were distributed to the children. Play for Peace games conducted by Mr. Narsing Rao of Mahindra Satyam Foundation was an instant hit amongst the children.

Raghava Krishna, Executive Members of HHS were present to give away the scholarship to Geeta Rani. HHS intends to give scholarships to deserving students every year to help them study better and to serve as an example to their peers.
