Support a Child
Support A Child is an initiative by Helping Hand Society to create a platform between interested individuals/organizations and NGOs working as children’s homes or orphanages to ensure that the right help is reached to the right place and at the right time. We take care to ensure that your sponsorship amount is correctly utilized for the child and that the facilities promised by the NGOs are of good standards.
We are currently partnered with Sphoorti Foundation, Hyderabad for this project. The details of the sponsorship are as under.
Through our Sponsor-A-Child Scheme, an individual or a group of individuals can extend support to one child. The aim of the scheme is to generate financial support for this child till he/she completes education (graduation level or above) and is able to venture out independently. You will receive periodic updates about the child including pictures, video messages and letters.
Sponsorship Goals
Nutritionally balanced, consistent and hot meals!!
We never compromise with the quality and quantum of food cooked and served – breakfast and two meals a day along with sprouts, fruits/eggs and milk.
Education for all the children with no limitations!!
Before coming to SPHOORTI, most kids never attended school properly. Now, with the help of the Sponsorship program, our kids attend an English medium school. Those children who are capable and who desire to go to college will have the opportunity.
All have basic amenities and more!!
Clothing, shoes, schoolbags, toothbrushes and paste, shampoo, soap, clean water, and everything else that we deem as necessities are being provided.
Full Medical Treatment to all who need it!!
No longer will cost be a determining factor in providing for a child’s medical needs. We take the children to the nearby physicians as and when required.
Children are treated like children!! Chocolates, fruits, games, movies, scrap books, paints – all the things that children deserve are provided. An environment is being created where they can be challenged, stimulated, and just have fun.
Break Up
Under the Sponsor a Child Scheme, we seek your contribution of Rs 15000* per annum. This amount covers direct living expenses of one child. The table provides the break-up of expenditure on each item.
